"I want to explore human behaviour.
To do that, I have to experience first hand what people go through."
Our story so far
A solo expedition through Mongolia marked A turning point. After meeting people who live by ancient traditions, Rick left his career to launch this platform.
In Israel, he examined the psychological impact of the Hamas attacks. In Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq, he witnessed the long-term effects of conflict. Rick Jens is a global explorer with a mission: to uncover the human side of global events.
Books & Documentaries
My books and documentaries are crafted to provide new perspectives, offer room for reflection and cultural understanding.
Join me on frontline explorations, visit indigenous communities and delve into sub-cultures. Together, we shed new light on global events, showing us what it means to be human.

Ukraine: documentary
For my new project I travel to Ukraine making a documentary about medical volunteers. What is it that drives these individuals to risk their own lives in order to save others?
With my camera I want to show the human side of a destructive war on the borders of Europe.

Mongolia: Book
I am writing my first book: 'Becoming a Nomad'. This book offers a glimpse into extraordinary Mongolia. During a three-month solo-expedition I barely survived sandstorms and traversed rural mountains. I enjoyed moments of pure joy and unimaginable heartbreak. Along the way, I met indigenous people from an ethnicly diverse culture, making friends along the way. Being solitary, I delved deep into my mind and learned a great deal about the person I had become. Changing my life on my return.
